Simply Cyber Fireside Chat Recording

Level Effect shares that a recorded conversation between Gerald and Anthony from Simply Cyber is now available for those who missed the live event. The session included an audience Q&A segment.

Darkweb & APT Case Study Live Stream - January 10

Doug Kaluhiokalani, a SOC100 instructor and CyberKata founder, will host a live stream introducing participants to Tor browser navigation and darkweb exploration. Participants will learn about "how to access and use the Tor browser" while emphasizing use on non-primary machines only.

The session covers Tor history, defensive applications, and how to identify malicious actor techniques for defensive security purposes.

New Instructor Additions

Two experienced security professionals join the Level Effect instructor roster:

Jonathan Johnson - Principal Windows Security Researcher at Huntress with experience at SpecterOps, Red Canary, and Binary Defense. He specializes in "Windows Internals, Reverse Engineering, and Data Analysis" and will develop SOC and Detection Engineering courses.

Neil Desai - Principal Security Strategist at Graylog with over 20 years of cybersecurity experience. He will contribute to SOC100 content, particularly around SIEM pipeline configuration and home lab virtual SOC setup.

2025 Content Survey

Level Effect invites community members to participate in a brief survey regarding desired content topics. Feedback will directly shape the organization's course development strategy.
